Discover laser welding

Welding with light.Stronger, faster, cleaner.

Laser welding bundles light into a needle-sharp beam: all the laser power concentrated on a single point that fuses metal in a flash. The result: a deep, strong weld with minimal distortion and hardly any rework.

Why laser welding beats traditional

Laser welding

Low heat, high precision

  • Needle-sharp beam, all the power on one point
  • Low, local heat, almost no distortion
  • Clean seam, minimal rework
  • Narrow zone, stronger joint
  • Faster, and quick to learn

Stainless, aluminium and steel: one technique for your whole workshop.

Traditional · MIG / TIG
  • High heat input, so distortion
  • Extensive grinding and straightening
  • Wide heat-affected zone
  • Slower, longer learning curve
up to 4×faster than TIG

Reasons that make the difference

Less distortion

Heat input is low and very local. The workpiece barely distorts, so straightening and grinding largely disappear.

A stronger weld

The heat-affected zone is narrow. The base material around the weld stays in condition and the joint is stronger than traditional MIG/TIG.

Faster & deeper

Laser welding penetrates deeper and runs up to several times faster than conventional welding, with a tight, clean seam as the result.

Quickly learned

With the hand-guided laser gun and wire feeder, even less experienced welders lay a neat seam quickly. A full day of training comes with the purchase.

Working safely

A class 4 laser, used safely

Laser welding works with an infrared beam you simply cannot see. Your protection therefore does not depend on what you notice: certified eye protection, a screened workstation and the right procedures are standard. We supply the safety equipment and go through it with your team on the training day.

Where it does its work

From fine stainless detail to robust structures: laser welding fits any workshop that runs on quality and speed.

Frequently asked questions

The questions customers ask us most about laser welding. Answered briefly and honestly.

  • Yes. With the wire feeder you add material and bridge gaps and larger seams. For heavier applications choose a machine with more power (MA1-65 or ULTRA); for finer work a lighter model is enough.

  • Laser welding uses a class-4 infrared laser: a beam you cannot see, and therefore one you deliberately protect yourself against. You always work with approved laser safety glasses or a helmet and a screened-off workstation. We supply the right safety equipment and teach your team how to work safely. We also guide the risk assessment and provide a suitable laser zone enclosure, with curtains or a laser cabin with an interlock system.

  • Laser welding uses shielding gas (usually argon or a mix), but thanks to the high speed and the narrow seam, consumption per metre of weld is low compared with the time and gas traditional welding demands.

  • Depending on material and thickness you weld up to several times faster than TIG, with deeper penetration. Because the heat-affected zone stays small, the weld is at least as strong as a traditional one, and in many cases stronger.

  • Mainly stainless, aluminium and steel. Think kitchens, swimming pools, gates and verandas, cladding, metal joinery and general stainless fabrication.
