For more than 20 years Benjamin stood at the arc, a welding expert and qualified instructor who optimises processes and certifies welders. When he discovered handheld laser welding the choice was quickly made: no more broad portfolio, everything on one technique. That focus is exactly what you get back: someone who knows the machine, the technique and your application inside out.

From a life at the arc to laser welding exclusively for the whole Benelux and France.
- 2017
The foundation
After twenty years at the arc, Benjamin starts BGA Welding: welding training, quality control and certified welding work for industry, as an IWS VTw2 welding expert. That reputation carries everything that follows.
- 2021
The search
Handheld laser welding reaches Europe. Benjamin immediately sees what it means and goes looking for the manufacturer that really does it well: months of testing, comparing and measuring until one brand is left.
- 2022
The turning point
The course changes completely, and the name with it: BGA Laser Welding. Everything on one technique, from sales to training. As one of the first players in Europe we bring handheld laser welding to the Benelux and France.
- 2023
The breakthrough
The MA1 series comes to market: 35, 45 and 65 kW single mode, a first in the segment. We were the first in the Benelux to put them on the floor, with demos at customers before the competition could even show them.
- 2026
Begea
One name for everything we have become: Begea. Exclusive THEO distributor for the Benelux and France, with twelve sales points and our own demo and training centre in Ypres, where our technical service also carries out repairs. The same man, the same obsession.
A fixture in the Benelux and France
At trade fairs, at dealers and on the shop floor we built a network of sales points across Belgium and the Netherlands in a few years. As the exclusive THEO distributor we combine that reach with the sharpest technical knowledge, without pitting our dealers against each other. Service stays in our own hands: we carry out maintenance and repairs ourselves from Ypres.
